What is steel strapping?
Steel strapping is a type of packing belt. It is mainly used in metal materials, glass, light industrial products, logistics and transportation, etc.
Steel strapping is available in rolls weighing between 3kg to 50kg, with 2 to 5 rolls bundled together. The rolls have an inside diameter of either 200mm, 300mm or 406mm. The strapping is packed with waterproof paper inside and then covered with plastic film, paper scroll, blue scroll or white scroll. Finally, it is wrapped with hessian cloth, corrugated cardboard or packed in a carton. It can be shipped on a wooden pallet or an iron pallet.

Bluing Steel strapping
“Bluing Steel strapping” involves heat-treating the steel at about 200 degrees Celsius to form a layer of dense ferroferric oxide film on the surface of the steel. The main component of this film is ferroferric oxide.
The layer of protective film can prevent iron from rusting. Before packing, a layer of anti-rust oil can also be applied to prolong the storage time. The dense ferroferric oxide film can isolate the steel body from air and water, and has anti-rust properties. Typically, there are 3-4 layers of packaging, but we can also customize the packaging according to customer requirements.
Paint Steel strapping
Painted steel strapping is a new type of strapping material used for cargo packing. It has better performance in all aspects compared to other common steel straps. Firstly, painted steel strapping does not rust like ordinary steel strapping, which can cause rust spots on the packaged goods, making it more environmentally friendly. Secondly, after cold rolling, shearing, bluing, painting, or galvanizing, painted steel strapping has higher elongation and tensile strength, making it stronger and more reliable for strapping goods. This is also why painted steel strapping is becoming more and more popular.
Galvanized Steel strapping
Galvanized steel strapping is made from ordinary or high-quality carbon structural steel that undergoes cold rolling, electric blueing, and galvanization. It is a further processing of bluing steel strapping, which solves the problem of rusting. This product is suitable for packing wood, paper, glass, stone, steel strapping, welded pipes, and other large objects.
Primary color Steel strapping
Primary color Steel strapping is also known as white packing Steel strapping, with the white color being the bright primary color after cold rolling. No other surface treatment is required, only a layer of anti-rust oil is needed. This kind of packaging has a low price, and some foreign countries use it as building material, with a generally large demand.
